A Surgical Mask meeting the ASTM Level 1 certification means the mask is designed to filter 95% of particulate and bacterial particles that pass through the mask. We recommend wearing this mask for any general use application.
The Altor no nosewire surgical mask is designed to be used in a setting where metal is not acceptable. This mask's use is great for an MRI or detention center setting where no metal is allowed. With no nosewire in the mask it allows for it to be worn in settings where a wire could cause problems for the wearer.
