Our award winning safety helmet, the GH400, features Koroyd’s advanced impact technology as the inside protective layer between the shell of the helmet and the user. Why have we chosen Koroyd over traditional EPS foam? Because when EPS foam is compressed by an impact, it becomes stiffer, resulting in more energy from the impact being transferred to the head of the user. The Koroyd material used in the GH400 crumples instantly and consistently on impact, reducing the energy being transferred, and protects the user better. Our mission is to deliver a helmet that offers better protection without compromising user comfort, a helmet so lightweight and compact it’s easy to forget it’s on, reducing short-term removal and the risk of injury.
The engineered structure of the Koroyd material has many benefits. The most important one is the ability to absorb the energy of any impact at a constant rate, decreasing the chances of injury for the user. Another benefit is minimal heat accumulation, because the structure of the Koroyd material is composed of the world’s thinnest welded tubes, enabling heat from the user’s head to vent out of the helmet. Koroyd is so efficient in providing complete Type 1 protection, that the GH400’s design is streamlined, enabling air to pass throughout the vents of the helmet, creating a cross ventilation system that helps the user stay cool during the toughest conditions.
By innovating beyond EPS foam, the GH400 reduces two common pain points in helmet design: the weight and the height profile of the helmet.
